Rawa Aalu Bada

This popular Maharashtrian cuisine is made with spiced potato balls that are dipped in gram flour and Gajraj Kesari Rawa batter and deep-fried. These are crisp, flavorful, and super addictive. To enhance its taste, you can serve it with green chilies.

Ingredients

  • Boiled potatoes
  • 1 tsp Green chilies chopped
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • Salt as per taste
  • Curry leaves as required
  • 2-3 tbsp Gram flour
  • 1/4 cup Gajraj Royale Kesari Rawa
  • 1 pinch Baking soda
  • Water as required
  • Oil to deep fry

1 tsp Whole coriander seeds

Method
  • In a wok add some oil and add mustard seeds, asafoetida, and curry leaves, let it crackle. Add whole coriander seeds and green chilies
  • Add turmeric and boiled potatoes, and mix well
  • Then by mixing gram flour, Gajraj Royale Kesari Rawa, water, and soda- make a batter
  • Make potato balls and coat them in Gajraj Royale Kesari Rawa and gram flour batter
  • Deep fry
  • Serve with green chilies
